PEERS Programme

A key strength of the groups is the involvement of families. Parents and carers are supported with strategies and insights to help reinforce skills in everyday contexts, ensuring consistency and meaningful progress beyond the sessions.

Groups typically run over a school term (approximately 10–12 weeks) on a weekly basis after school. Sessions are structured, engaging, and tailored to the needs of each group, with participants grouped by age and stage.

Group sizes are kept small to allow for personalised support and opportunities for interaction. Groups may be offered in different London locations depending on demand, as well as online where appropriate.

All sessions are grounded in current evidence-based practice, with a strong commitment to neuro-affirming principles—supporting individuals to develop skills in a way that feels respectful, empowering, and relevant to their own social goals.

Social Communication Groups

Our social communication groups are designed to support children and young people in developing meaningful, functional social skills within a supportive and inclusive environment. These groups draw on evidence-based approaches used in well-established social skills programmes, while being adapted to reflect a neuro- affirming, individualised approach.
The groups support a range of learners, including those with differences in social communication, attention, and emotional regulation. Rather than focusing on “fitting in” or masking, the emphasis is on building understanding, confidence, and authentic connection, while respecting each individual’s communication style and identity.
